HYDE PARK-ALL WEEKEND LONG

What a weird and wacky weekend for us with blisters to boot (pardon the joke!). On Friday we received an e-mail to be guest of Someone(name with held) to see Roger Waters and to bring the family.
Saturday
Headed to Hyde Park and there was horrible trouble on the tube (all the time). It also was so hot and sticky and with two kids on tow. WOW. I'm thirsty, I can't walk not another step and the best I need a toilet now! Walking down Piccadilly in front of the Hard Rock Casino there was David Crosby (CSNY). Just strolling with his hat on enjoying the sunshine. Finally, we got to the park and got our VIP wristbands. Went to the VIP holding pen and alas Ron and Christine Dovey and their lovely lads where sitting there and having a cold beverage. It was lovely to see them again. The kids where quite as we got them the cold stuff (ice cream). The only good thing about the VIP area is the clean toilets! The crowd for Roger Waters where there for the event. Not for the Music. As for Roger waters he was good. Dark side was great. The kids enjoyed it and enjoyed their second ice cream! (Once in a lifetime for them -2 in one day)!
SUNDAY- The WHO

wired, wired and wierder. We got to the gig during the last few numbers of the band before The Who. We manage to get to second row close by Pete. The stage was at least 15 foot high. And guess who we where standing with- David Crosby. What a sweet heart. We spent most of the Who gig with him and a least 40 minutes talking music and family matters. The two where in good form and really looked as they where enjoying themselves. The music sounded great and Pino was trying his best! Still missing John's bass guitar. Let's not even talk about Keith! Must start that Blue plaque list again in September. Gary thinks they should drop My Gennn..... As the crowd was getting crushed during the song and many youngster had to be past over the crash barrier to safety and St. John's ambulance people. Today we are off to Beaulieu with the Kids. Look for the Kids are alright review next time.
