May 5th 2006. 19 days to go.

Friday May 5th 7.30pm in the evening, the weekend is with us and the only event on the diary this weekend is my 2nd visit this week for my heat treatment at our local hospital.
Another hot day around the same temperature as yesterday but the weekend will be wet just like the last one.
Still waiting for news on Melissa's mum ,so no updates today.

20 Days to 50.

Started the day off nice and quite at breakfast time, the kids school was closed because of local voting today and all but myself spent a extra hour in bed.

The weather in London was around 25c, that's about 80f.
Why do people still wear winter coats zipped up on the London Underground in this heat?

My day in the office started off with the news of a new computer monitor to replace my 5 year old to be installed this weekend, but from then on just idiots calling every 5 minutes with with stupid questions, the best one was do you have the mobile telephone number for Trevor? my reply was yes its 07768****** and then her response was let me get a pen and paper to write that down! Now please don't get me wrong but if you call someone and you want a answer to a question like the one above why don't you have a pen and paper ready to write down the number ready when you make the call?

Just 3 weeks to go.

Yes just 3 weeks to go and I will be 50 (fifty) years old.

Yesterday evening I went along to our local hospital for some more PUVA light treatment on my skin.
My first session lasted just 12 seconds! Last night it went up to 30 seconds (yes that is 1/2 a minute!) and guess what this morning I am as red as a beetroot and burning.

Still no new news on my mother-in-law's treatment in America.

Today is Tuesday 2nd May 2006.

The post below is for today May 2nd 2006.

01 May 2006

23 Days to go.

Back to work today after a nice long 3 day Bank Holiday Weekend for "May Day".

After looking at today's date it is a year to the day since the first of 4 shows at The Royal Albert Hall London for "CREAM" Clapton/Baker/Bruce. We spent at the time around £280 for 2 tickets face value + booking and postage fees to see the show from the 5th row Arena floor seats.

The kids woke up at 5.30A.M. this morning for some unknown reason just as Melissa finally got to sleep, her head is working overtime with all her problems with her mum, the latest is that her mum will be having chemotherapy twice a week for 12 weeks from early June to late August in New York City and with no one to look after her she may be taking off with the kids to look after her.
The kids school said this will be okay, so we will wait for confirmation.
Life goes on.
Gary.
.

The 24 Day countdown.

Yes its just 24 days before my (Gary) 50th Birthday on Wednesday 24th May.
Today Monday 1st May is a Bank Holiday in the U.K.. The weather is cold and damp and it looks like it will rain any minute now! The kids are watching the Disney T.V. channel, I have spent the afternoon in the attic putting winter coats away and trying to find last years summer coats do they hibernate like animals? And Melissa has spent the best part of the day on the Telephone calling America for her mum who is still not coming to terms with her recent operation in New York.
