WOW
Hey, it was weird being in the Bedford in Balham. It was so smokey! It was great seeing faces from The Who/Pete camp again and some Who friends. Rachel was good as a compare. After hearing her perform her tunes, it changed our minds about "the OTHERS" from the surrounding WHO camp and their music. We are not the usual Who fans that love everything that comes out of a WHO related person (e.g. Pete's cousin, Flash's arse, Roger's cleaner, John's friend, Moonie's publicans etc.). Rachel's voice is very much like Annie Haslam of Renaissance, with a bit of Kate Bush, Cheryl Crow. It's nice to hear lyrics that are about womanly things. And, yes there are many of us who do our housework naked! Pete seemed to be a bit nervous. It was nice to hear him sing and play guitar in a small venue again. We hope Pete keeps with his music and doesn't try comedy.

Dear Melissa & Gary
Thank you for your post on my blog! I was feeling slightly left out or something (maybe because I live where I do - 3 hours from the nearest city).
You are so lucky to be (from my point of view) in the thick of things. I would have loved to have been at the gig the other night! I am glad for you, though!
When I first heard Rachel sing I immediately thought of Kate Bush. (whom I love). Must be the classical training.
Take Care.

Hi Gary & Melissa,
The Bedford show was a blast!
Hope to see you again on December 4th in the Boathouse.
Best,
Paul
Hi Gary & Melissa,
Looking forward to meeting up again December 4th, if it is anywhere as good as Bedford Arms it should be pretty spectacular.
See you both soon.
Ron

Hey- I told Rachel that she sounded like Annie Haslem when I first heard her, a long time ago.
I agree! Annie's is a little lower, actually.
Are you going to the Basement Jam tomorrow? Have a great time if you go!
